What a tough day out!!! Described as one of the toughest Comrades races ever due to the high attrition rate, I came in a full hour slower than last year - 11 hours and 15 minutes.
The heat, and the wind, and perhaps the limited amount of training were the causes of this. But it was still a great day! An emotional moment was had when I crossed the line, and when I received my two medals (the second being the back-to-back medal).
Thank you to those who pledged money in support of my efforts, I am very grateful.
We should be sending out a newsletter soon, with more news about Lula Isandla.
Kind regards, Timothy
