a feeding scheme run by volunteers, funded by south africans

OE_LogoEvery year, the Old Edwardian Society Squash Section holds the world famous (soon to be universe famous) Summer League. It is a festive and fun time at the end of a long and arduous season.

Every year, as part of this event, the tournament organisers manage to include a fund raising initiative that benefits Lula Isandla. (It helps that the is a shared set of people between the Trustees and the organisers.) This year (2010) was no different.

A raffle was held on the day of the prize giving, with the prizes being kindly donated by Sunset Fun and the Beast, the club raised R1200 for Lula Isandla.

It is greatly appreciated that a group of disparate people from all walks of life brought together by a common theme of running around in a closed room are further united in their philanthropy. What is more, is that individuals within this group give that little extra - be it time, money or thought - that make the results all that more rewarding.

We thank them, for the contribution from the Summer League, and the individuals for their unique input.
