A brief note from the editor's desk of Lula Isandla.
The Sony Ericsson marketing teams went to Lula Isandla for the day. They brought games, food and much needed frivolity. The report from the Sony Ericsson team will be coming through some time soon; we will be sending that through to you all as well.
We are in the process in formalising the Trust documentation. It has been drawn up and signed by the trustees and we are in the process of registering the trust. In order to do this, the trust needs two outstanding requirements: an errant ID document and an appointed auditor. It would be useful if anyone could recommend a small Johannesburg based auditing firm who will be prepared to act as the trust’s auditors (reply to this message and our lawyers will be in contact with them).
Lastly, there will be a few of us going through to Lula Isandla on Christmas Day in what will hopefully become an annual event. In order to make it a fun day out, we are planning to take some kites and other fun active goodies through. These will complement the hula hoops and balls left behind by the Sony Ericsson team. What we are battling with at the moment is either a set of volunteers or donors to provide for the Christmas Lunch. If you feel this would be your thing to do, and you are in the area, let us know and join us for the fun!
That's all (for now) folks! We'll update you as soon as possible about the rest of the goings on.
